VegasNow Sports Betting: how our sportsbook works

Most Australians know VegasNow for pokies and live tables, but the same account also opens our sportsbook. Below we cover what you can bet on, how each bet type settles, what the sports offer and the x3 deposit rule mean for your money, and which checks can come before a payout.

  • Four betting areas: Sports, In-Play, Esports and Virtual Sports
  • Sports Welcome Offer: 100% up to A$200
  • Every deposit turned over x3 before a withdrawal, unless stated otherwise

Who runs the VegasNow sportsbook and under which licence

Betting at VegasNow is operated by Just Entertainment B.V. (Curaçao company number 160603), the company behind our casino, and both products share one licence: OGL/2024/164/0246 from the Curaçao Gaming Authority, active since 13 August 2024. The public validator shows the record and its approved domains, and our VegasNow licensing page explains how to read it.

Because the licence is from Curaçao rather than an Australian regulator, the self-exclusion point in our responsible betting section below is worth reading. Accounts and bets are for people aged 18 and over.

What you can bet on in the VegasNow sportsbook

  • Sports: pre-match markets by sport and league, with a Top leagues filter and an Upcoming view.
  • In-Play: markets on matches already running. Prices can move before you confirm, so the odds-change setting below matters most here.
  • Virtual Sports: computer-generated events unrelated to any real fixture, so form guides do not apply.
  • Esports: video-game competitions with game-specific settlement. The CS2 rules, for instance, cover map bets when a player disconnects or a team retires.

Sports with written settlement rules

Around 40 sports have a settlement section in our rules. Local favourites such as Cricket, Australian Rules, Netball, Rugby League and Rugby Union sit beside Tennis, Golf, Basketball, Football (soccer), Motor Racing, Darts, Snooker and combat sports (Boxing, MMA and UFC). Horse and greyhound racing are handled in a racing section of their own. A settlement section explains grading, say after an abandonment; it does not mean every AFL or NRL fixture is priced.

Singles, express and system bets at VegasNow: a worked comparison

Term in our rulesUsual Australian termWhen it pays
SingleSingle or straight betOne selection; a winner returns stake × odds
ExpressMulti or parlayTwo or more selections on one ticket; all must win, and their odds multiply
SystemSystem or combination betYour picks are split into several smaller multis, so some lines can pay when a leg fails

Worked example: three picks, A$30 outlay

Take selections priced at decimal odds of 1.90, 2.20 and 1.60, with A$30 to spend. Decimal odds include your stake, so a winning line returns stake × odds.

  • Three singles of A$10: returns of A$19.00, A$22.00 and A$16.00.
  • One express of A$30: 1.90 × 2.20 × 1.60 = 6.688, so a winning ticket returns A$200.64.
  • A 2-from-3 system, A$10 per double: doubles priced 4.18 (1.90 × 2.20), 3.04 (1.90 × 1.60) and 3.52 (2.20 × 1.60), returning A$41.80, A$30.40 and A$35.20.
OutcomeThree singlesExpress2-from-3 system
All three picks winA$57.00A$200.64A$107.40
The 2.20 pick losesA$35.00A$0A$30.40
Only the 1.90 pick winsA$19.00A$0A$0

The express pays most when everything lands and nothing when one leg misses; singles pay least but hold something back; the system sits in between. The system figures are illustrative, so check the slip for how your own system bet is built and priced.

VegasNow multi rules: voided legs, same-match picks and group bets

Voided legs become odds of 1. A selection that is voided, or whose stake is handed back, is settled at 1, so it simply falls out of the multiplication. In the express above, voiding the 2.20 pick leaves 1.90 × 1.60 = 3.04, and the A$30 stake would return A$91.20 if both other legs won. Each sport's settlement section decides what counts as void.

No linked picks on one ticket. Two outcomes from one match, or two bets on one player within one tournament, cannot share an express or system bet. If such a ticket is accepted anyway, you get the stake back rather than a settled result.

No group betting. Backing the same outcomes repeatedly, alone or with linked customers, is not permitted and may be reviewed.

The VegasNow Sports Welcome Offer and the x3 deposit rule

On the sports Promotions page, new customers see 100% up to A$200 with a Deposit and Bet now button; the Sports landing page calls the same deal a 100% Free Bet up to A$200. Its separate terms page, not the headline, sets how the bonus arrives, which markets and odds count, and when winnings can be cashed out. On the headline alone, a deposit of A$120 would attract up to A$120, while deposits above A$200 still cap at A$200.

Keep the casino package (up to A$8,000 plus 500 free spins over four deposits) in its own lane: it covers casino and live-casino play, and casino bonus money cannot be staked on sport. Our VegasNow welcome bonus page explains that package. Bet on Sports Weekly: Lucky Score & Spin, also on the Promotions page, pays in free spins; open its conditions before relying on it.

How the x3 rule works

Rule 2.2 of our Sportsbook Rules asks you to bet each deposit three times unless another multiple is stated, or a withdrawal may be refused; our general terms (v2.3) match it. Bets count once accepted and settled, winners and losers alike; cancelled bets and returned stakes do not. Deposit A$150 and you need A$450:

  1. A single of A$200 settles as a winner: A$200 counts.
  2. An express of A$120 loses: A$120 counts, total A$320.
  3. A single of A$50 is voided with the stake returned: nothing counts.
  4. A bet of A$80 is still open: nothing yet.

That leaves A$130 to go. Once the A$80 bet settles, either way, the gap drops to A$50.

Deposits and withdrawals for VegasNow betting

Sports betting shares your casino account and cashier. Our Australian deposit table shows Visa, Mastercard and MiFinity from A$30, Cashtocode from A$25, card deposits as large as A$10,000, and coins such as BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC, XRP and DOGE with their own minimums. PayID, POLi and Neosurf are not listed. Withdrawals run A$30 to A$4,000 by MiFinity and A$300 to A$6,000 by bank wire, with per-coin crypto ranges, own-name methods only and daily, weekly and monthly caps. See our payments page and withdrawals page for the detail.

The Sportsbook Rules add one condition: nothing is paid out until the account is fully verified. A phone check is also possible, and winnings can be forfeited if the number on file is wrong or nobody answers, so keep it up to date.

Cash-out, odds changes and stake limits at VegasNow

  • Cash-out: available on some markets to settle early, though not on certain two-outcome markets. Where it was applied by mistake, we may recalculate the bet.
  • Odds changes: if a price moves mid-placement, the slip shows a notice and may hold the bet until you agree. The Accept odds change setting skips the prompt, which is faster in play but takes whatever the new price is.
  • Stake limits: maximums differ by sport, event and market and may move at any time, and an individual account can be given its own limits without explanation.
  • Late bets: a pre-match bet accepted after the event has begun can be cancelled and settled at odds of 1, which hands the stake back.
  • No take-backs: a registered bet cannot be cancelled by you, so read the slip before confirming.

Verification and account checks under the VegasNow Sportsbook Rules

Each bet is struck under the rules in force at that moment. We can update them without notifying you personally, but a bet already placed keeps its original terms.

Identity, credit and video checks are all permitted. Documents can take up to 30 days to verify, a review of your betting up to 180 days, and you may be asked to prove where your funds come from, for example with bank statements. Multiple players on one IP address, device or home network are not allowed, and linked accounts can be blocked and their bets cancelled; our support team can answer questions on this.

Responsible betting with VegasNow

Studying form can make betting feel like skill, yet every ticket can lose, so fix a weekly budget before the round starts. Deposit limits and self-exclusion in your VegasNow account apply to the sportsbook as well as the casino, and Gambling Help Online gives free, confidential support on 1800 858 858.

BetStop is the National Self-Exclusion Register for Australian-licensed wagering providers. We hold a Curaçao licence, so a BetStop registration does not on its own close a VegasNow account; use our self-exclusion tool or contact support too. More on our responsible gambling page.

Your VegasNow pre-bet checklist

  1. Confirm the licence on the Curaçao validator.
  2. Read the settlement section for your sport, especially voids, abandonments and retirements.
  3. Open the sports offer terms before opting in; casino bonus money cannot go on sport.
  4. Work out your turnover: deposit × 3 in accepted, settled bets.
  5. Verify documents and your phone number now, not on payout day.
  6. Choose whether Accept odds change is on or off, especially for In-Play.
  7. Keep every leg of a multi from a different match.
  8. Read the slip twice; registered bets cannot be cancelled.
  9. Set a deposit limit that fits your budget.

Questions and answers

Does VegasNow have a sportsbook?

Yes. The Sports tab opens our sportsbook, with pre-match Sports markets, In-Play betting on live events, Virtual Sports and Esports. A sports Promotions page and a full set of Sportsbook Rules sit alongside, all inside the same account and cashier as the casino.

Is the VegasNow sportsbook licensed?

Yes. Sports betting is covered by our casino licence, OGL/2024/164/0246, issued by the Curaçao Gaming Authority to Just Entertainment B.V. and active since 13 August 2024. You can confirm it on the public validator at cert.cga.cw. Our licensing page walks through how to read that certificate.

How much is the VegasNow sports welcome offer?

The sports Promotions page shows 100% up to A$200, which the Sports landing page also describes as a 100% Free Bet up to A$200. How the bonus is credited, which markets and odds count, and when winnings become withdrawable are all set by its own terms page, so read that before you deposit.

Can I use the VegasNow casino bonus on sports bets?

No. The casino welcome package of up to A$8,000 plus 500 free spins is limited to casino and live-casino games, and its terms bar casino bonus funds from sports betting. For the sportsbook, the relevant deal is the Sports Welcome Offer of 100% up to A$200, which carries separate terms.

Can I bet on AFL and NRL with VegasNow?

Our Sportsbook Rules include settlement sections for Australian Rules and Rugby League, as well as Cricket, Netball, Rugby Union and many more. A settlement section means written rules exist for that sport, not that every match is priced, so open the Sports tab on the day to see which AFL or NRL markets are live.

What is an express bet on VegasNow?

Express is our name for a multi. Two or more selections go on one ticket, their odds are multiplied, and every leg must win for a payout. A voided leg is settled at odds of 1 and drops out, so the remaining legs still stand at their combined price.

What does the x3 deposit rule mean on VegasNow?

Rule 2.2 of our Sportsbook Rules asks that each deposit be bet three times unless another figure is stated. A deposit of A$100 therefore needs A$300 of accepted, settled bets, winning or losing, before a withdrawal can be approved. Cancelled bets and returned stakes do not count toward that figure.

Does VegasNow offer cash-out on sports bets?

On some markets, yes. Cash-out settles a bet before the final result, but certain two-outcome markets do not offer it. If cash-out is applied where it should not have been available, our rules allow the bet to be recalculated, so check the bet itself before counting on it.

How long can VegasNow sportsbook verification take?

Our Sportsbook Rules allow up to 30 days to verify documents and up to 180 days to review betting activity. We may also ask for proof of your source of funds, such as bank statements, and no withdrawal is paid until the account is fully verified.
