The show in brief

A money wheel with four doors to a bonus

Crazy Time is Evolution's hosted game show, and you will find it in the live section of the VegasNow lobby. A presenter spins a large upright wheel divided into 54 segments. You bet on which kind of segment the pointer will stop on: one of the number segments, or one of the four bonus games.

If a number lands and you backed it, you are paid at that number's rate. If a bonus game lands and you backed it, you play that bonus round, where the multipliers live. Before every spin, a slot machine above the wheel, the Top Slot, can lift one bet spot with a multiplier of up to 50×. That combination of a simple bet and a lot of possible outcomes is why Crazy Time draws a crowd, and why it swings harder than any card table we run.

How a round of Crazy Time works

Every round follows the same rhythm, and once you have watched two or three it becomes second nature.

1. Betting opens. A countdown appears on screen and the betting panel lists every spot on the wheel: the number segments and the four bonus games. You can back as many spots as you like, each with its own stake. Bets close when the timer reaches zero.

2. The Top Slot spins. Above the wheel, the Top Slot spins and picks out one bet spot to carry a multiplier of up to 50× for this round only. The boosted spot changes from round to round. If the boosted spot is the one the wheel lands on, the payout or the bonus is multiplied.

3. The wheel spins. The presenter spins the main wheel and the flapper at the top settles on one of the 54 segments.

4. The result is settled. A number result pays everyone who backed that number. A bonus result takes everyone who backed that bonus into the bonus round. Players who did not back the winning spot sit the bonus out and watch.

The key thing to understand is that you only play a bonus game if you had a bet on it when the wheel stopped. Backing only numbers keeps your stake steadier, but it also means you will never take part in a bonus. Backing bonus spots gives you access to the big multipliers, but those segments come up less often, so there are longer spells with no return.

Bonus games

The four bonus rounds

Each bonus has its own format. All of them pay multipliers on the stake you placed on that bonus spot.

🪙

Coin Flip

The quickest bonus. A coin with a multiplier on each side is flipped, and the side it lands on sets your payout. It is decided in seconds.

🎯

Cash Hunt

A board of hidden multipliers appears and you pick your own target before the reveal. Every player chooses separately, so results differ from seat to seat.

⚪

Pachinko

The presenter drops a puck down a wall of pegs. It bounces its way to a multiplier slot at the bottom, and that slot sets the payout for everyone in the round.

🎡

Crazy Time

The headline bonus. Players move through a door to a second, larger wheel loaded with multipliers. This is the round that can pay up to 20,000×.

One winning segment per spin: Crazy Time worked examples

The wheel stops on a single segment, so only one kind of bet can win each round. Covering more spots raises the cost of a spin, never the number of spots that pay. Three examples make that concrete.

  1. Every bonus covered. A$0.50 on each of the four bonus spots costs A$2 a round. A number result loses all four. A bonus result sends one A$0.50 stake into that bonus round, and the other three lose.
  2. A multiplier on the wrong spot. The Top Slot puts 50× on Coin Flip, where you have A$0.50. The wheel stops on a number. Your A$0.50 is lost, and the 50× was worth nothing, because a multiplier only counts on a spot that wins.
  3. The ceiling, with a bonus running. A$0.50 on the Crazy Time spot at the full 20,000× would be A$10,000. With a deposit bonus active, winnings from that offer are capped at A$5,000 at cash-out, so the cap would decide the figure, not the wheel.

None of these is a likely outcome on any particular spin. They show how the rules combine.

RTP, volatility and what the numbers really mean

Evolution publishes an RTP range of 94.41% to 96.08% for Crazy Time. The figure is a range rather than a single number because each bet spot has its own return: some spots sit near the bottom of the range and others near the top. The provider's rules screen in the game lists the figure for each spot, and it is worth a look before you decide where your money goes.

RTP is a long-run average worked out over a very large number of rounds. It does not tell you what will happen in a single evening. In one session you might hit a bonus three times or not at all. With a game that pays up to 20,000× on its top bonus, a large share of the long-run return is concentrated in rare, big results, so the typical short session ends below the stated RTP and an occasional one ends far above it. That is what high volatility means in practice.

For comparison, a blackjack hand played with good decisions or an even-money roulette bet gives far steadier results from round to round. Crazy Time is built for entertainment and the chance of a big moment, not for a smooth ride. If you want the full spread of what is on offer, our live casino overview compares the table families side by side.

Crazy Time next to our other live tables

If you are deciding where to spend an evening on the live floor, it helps to see the three headline tables side by side. They share a studio setting and a betting countdown, but they reward very different kinds of player.

TableYour roleBiggest published payoutCounts toward wagering

Lightning RoulettePick numbers or outside bets, then watchUp to 500× on a struck straight-up number25%
Live blackjackDecide every handStandard blackjack payouts plus side bets10%

Crazy Time has the highest ceiling and the least control. Once your bets are down there is nothing more to decide until the next round, except your pick in Cash Hunt. Lightning Roulette sits in the middle, with familiar bets and a smaller multiplier range. Blackjack is the opposite of Crazy Time: modest payouts, but every hand turns on your choices. Our pages on Lightning Roulette and live blackjack cover those tables in the same depth as this one.

Building a sensible Crazy Time budget

Because you can cover several spots at once, the cost of a round is the total of all your bets, not just one of them. That is the easiest thing to underestimate in Crazy Time.

ApproachCost per roundRounds from A$100What it means
One number spot at A$1A$1100Steady, but you never play a bonus
Two bonus spots at A$1 eachA$250Bonus access, longer dry spells
Four bonus spots at A$1 eachA$425Every bonus covered, budget runs quickly
Mix of numbers and bonuses at A$1 eachA$6 to A$812 to 16Wide coverage, very short session

Rounds take a minute or so each, so even 50 rounds is under an hour of play. Pick the approach that matches how long you want to stay, set the number of rounds before you start, and stop when you reach it. Deposit limits in your account and the tools on our responsible gambling page make it easier to keep to that plan.

A practical tip from the floor: watch a few rounds before your first bet. You will see how quickly the countdown moves, how the Top Slot lines up and how each bonus plays out, which makes the betting panel much easier to read when your own money is on it.

Common Crazy Time mistakes at VegasNow

  • Treating the history panel as a tip sheet. It records past spins. Each new spin is settled on its own.
  • Counting a Top Slot multiplier before the wheel stops. It has no value unless the boosted spot wins.
  • Reading 20,000× as a target. It is the published top of one bonus game, not a typical result.
  • Forgetting the round total with a bonus active. The safest reading of the A$8 cap is to keep the combined stake across every spot you cover in one round at A$8 or less.
  • Adding spots after a quiet spell. A run without a bonus does not make one due, and wider coverage only empties the budget faster.
  • Asking to withdraw straight after depositing. Each deposit needs three times turnover first.

Playing Crazy Time with a bonus

Our welcome package and promotions can be used across the casino and live casino, but game shows count only 10% toward wagering under our general bonus terms. Every A$1 you stake on Crazy Time adds 10 cents toward your target, against a full A$1 on most slots.

A worked example shows the scale. A A$100 first deposit earns a 150% match, so A$150 in bonus funds. At 40×, that is A$6,000 of qualifying wagering, to be completed within 7 days. On Crazy Time alone you would need to stake A$60,000. The A$8 maximum bet while a bonus is active applies to each bet you place, and covering several spots in one round adds to the total quickly. The full welcome structure is set out on our welcome bonus page.

For most players the better plan is to clear any bonus on slots, where stakes count in full, and play Crazy Time with cash. If you know you are heading straight to the game shows, you can decline the bonus when you deposit. One active bonus is allowed at a time, and the winnings from deposit bonuses are capped at A$5,000 per offer.

Small bonus, long road: the VegasNow 7-day clock on Crazy Time

A smaller bonus does not make Crazy Time a quick way to clear it. Take a first deposit at the A$20 offer minimum (card and MiFinity start at A$30), matched at 150%: a A$30 bonus with a 40× target of A$1,200. At 10%, that takes A$12,000 of Crazy Time stakes.

At A$2 a round, the four-bonus-spot spread above, that is 6,000 rounds. With each round taking a minute or so, you would need about 100 hours at the wheel inside 7 days, more than 14 hours a day. Even at A$8 a round it is 1,500 rounds, roughly 25 hours. The welcome bonus page shows the full four-stage structure, and the pokies lobby is where most of a target clears at full rate.

On your phone

Crazy Time in the browser

Crazy Time streams to Safari or Chrome with no download. The betting panel adapts to a smaller screen, and you can turn your phone sideways for a larger view of the wheel. Add VegasNow to your Home Screen for quicker access: Share then Add to Home Screen in Safari, or the menu and Install in Chrome.

The bonus rounds are the most demanding part of the stream, so a steady Wi-Fi connection is worth having, particularly for Cash Hunt, where you make your own pick before the timer ends. More setup tips are on our mobile page.

Crazy Time questions

Short answers on the wheel, the bonuses and your money.

How many segments does the Crazy Time wheel have?

The wheel has 54 segments. Most are number segments, and the rest trigger one of the four bonus games: Coin Flip, Cash Hunt, Pachinko and Crazy Time.

What does the Top Slot do?

Before each spin the Top Slot can attach a multiplier of up to 50× to one bet spot. If the wheel lands on that spot, the payout or the bonus is multiplied for that round.

What is the RTP of Crazy Time?

Evolution publishes a range of 94.41% to 96.08%, depending on the bet spot. RTP is a long-run average, not a prediction for any single session.

What is the biggest possible win?

The Crazy Time bonus round can pay up to 20,000× the stake placed on the Crazy Time spot. Results that large are rare.

Do I join a bonus game if I did not bet on it?

No. Only players who backed that bonus spot when the wheel stopped play the bonus round. Everyone else watches until the next round opens.

Does Crazy Time count toward bonus wagering?

Yes, at 10%. A A$150 bonus at 40× needs A$6,000 of wagering, which is A$60,000 in Crazy Time stakes. The A$8 maximum bet applies while the bonus is active.

Can I use the VegasNow welcome bonus on Crazy Time?

Yes. The welcome package covers both the casino and the live casino, so Crazy Time is eligible. It counts at the game-show rate of 10%, the A$8 maximum bet applies while the bonus is active, and you have 7 days to finish the wagering. If you plan to play mostly Crazy Time, you can decline the bonus when you deposit.

What happens if my connection drops during a Crazy Time bonus round?

The studio carries on without you, and the outcome is settled on your account record rather than on the last image your screen showed. Reload the game and check your bet history before placing another bet. If the result looks wrong, contact live chat or [email protected] with the time and any round reference.
